Dr. Martínez Cerdeño is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and principal investigator at the University of California in Davis (UCD). Her research laboratory focuses on unrevealing the anatomy and the pathology of autism and related neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, and on understanding brain development. She is also a Faculty member at the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine, the Shriners Hospital of Northern California, the Institute for Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND), and is an affiliate member of the Center for Neuroscience and the Center for MIND and Brain at UCD. She is also the director of the Hispano-American Brain Bank for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Dr. Martínez Cerdeño received her PhD at The Autónoma University of Madrid and performed her postdoctoral training at Columbia University and The University of California in San Francisco (UCSF).
